Resident Testimonial September 2008

Married Couple at the Residences –

How long have you lived at The Residences?
We have lived at The Residences since July of this year (2008).

What were some of the features that attracted you here, made you decide on The Residences?
Knowledgable and engaging sales people who really are hospitable – they gave us enough information to want to be here without even seeing it. The location – I work at the hospitals and it’s close to all of them.  The amenities – convenience.  Everything is new – we really love the bathroom and the kitchen is great!

Do you have any memorable experiences living here so far?
I was planning to spend the night in NYC driving from the Midwest and by the time I got to NY I decided to drive the full way where I had a place to stay.  I arrived at 2:30 a.m. and the concierge was very accommodating and got me a rollaway from the hotel so that I could stay in my residence – furniture hadn’t arrived yet, and he helped with my luggage….and I still enjoy telling that story to this day.

What would you like to share about yourself to other prospective residents?
We enjoy shopping and eating.  This is a very central location for us to be able to walk to the mall and browse, as well as downtown eateries, Thayer Street and Federal Hill.   We have fallen in love with fountain plaza on Federal Hill.  It is also really nice to have the concierge to call to get new ideas on places to eat and things to do.

Have you used the concierge services, and if so, what has been your experience?
We did initially call them everyday for directions to the hospitals and learning how to get around the new town.  We’ve used them less frequently now that we know a bit more of Providence.  Nonetheless, the concierge is like having a family member who knows anything and everything about whatever you want to know.

What do you think about the indoor access to dining, shopping, the fitness center, movies, CitiPerk for morning coffee, or other indoor conveniences?
We’re spoiled!  I tease my wife that she never gets fresh air anymore!  Our walks after dinner are indoors now.

What do you think about your floor plan and the finishes,
the quality of your home?

Great. Top quality. As I said before, we love the bathroom and kitchen!  We have a kitchen any master chef would love.

What would you say to someone considering the Residences amongst all the choices in Providence available to them?
This is the newest, most hospitable and centrally located place in the city.  After spending a few hours here, I could not see myself having selected any of the other places we considered.  This community offers all of the amenities any other offers, plus so much more.

What do you like about living downtown? Have you gotten out and experienced the restaurants, theater, night-life, events that Providence has to offer?
Though we grew up in the midwest, we've fallen in love with Providence and the east coast lifestyle.  A big part of that has been the opportunity to enjoy the restaurants, nightlife, and events along the water - all footsteps away from our door.

What have you done to make living here, truly your own?
We have made friends with most of our neighbors and enjoy activities with them outside of the organized functions within the building.  We’ve also developed relationships with the staff here too.

How would you describe the lifestyle here?
Luxurious, however it’s friendly and down to earth at the same time.

How would you explain the value of living here vs. somewhere else?
Living here is like staying in a five star hotel.  Coming home from work and the weekends - we always feel like we're on vacation.
