Resident Testimonial April 2009

One of our newest Residents, Linda, moved into The Residences this past December, right in time for New Year’s Eve! She is a woman who has quickly grown to love city living. Her story is below...

Did you explore other living options before deciding upon The Residences?
I visited 4 other developments. I eliminated those without a “lease-to-own” option, leaving me with a choice of WaterPlace or the Residences. When I weighed the pros and cons of each, the Residences won, hands down.

What were some of the features that attracted you to the Residences?
My top concern is safety. The 24-hour concierge and the nearby Hotel staff make me feel safe. I also value garage parking and the convenience of the Providence Place Mall. It is very obvious to me that there is simply more “life” at the Residences than at WaterPlace.

Do you have any memorable experiences living here so far?
I will always remember that most delicious bowl of soup, warm bread and butter that was delivered to my door, with white glove service, from Fleming’s, on my second Friday night here when I was feeling a bit “under the weather.” I am blessed by the constant compassion and service provided by the staff at the Residences, Fleming’s and the Hotel.

Have you used the concierge services, and if so, what has been your experience?
I have consulted with the concierge on numerous occasions (valet tickets, room service, furniture deliveries, dry cleaning, receipt and mailing of packages, etc.) and each time, I received the utmost responsiveness, attention and satisfying service.

Have you used any of the hotel services, and what has been your experience?
The convenience of room service, in a pinch or moment of laziness, is wonderful.

What do you think about the indoor access to dining, shopping, the fitness center, movies, Agora for morning coffee, or other indoor conveniences?
To have all of these conveniences available is nothing less than a luxury.

What do you think about the layout/floor plan and the finishes,
the quality of your home?

I chose the A1 (south facing), one bedroom, one amazing bath, with full length balcony (across living and bed rooms). I chose this layout because of the natural sunlight and ability to sit on/enjoy the balcony. I love all the color choices for wood floors, rug, marble, granite, and cabinets – all choices I would have made for myself if I were designing the space. I am so pleased with the sense of peace I feel when I am inside my home (that means from the moment I enter the lobby!). Did I mention the amazing bathroom!?

What would you say to someone considering the Residences amongst all the choices in Providence available to them?
Everyone has his/her own set of expectations and measurements, however, I would tell anyone that no other development can be compared to The Residences. Well, they could be compared, but no other development will outweigh its benefits – ever.

What do you like about living downtown?
I always thought I would not enjoy living in a city and realized that I was basing that thought on no real life experience. After living here for a little over a month, I can honestly say that I love being close to so much “life”. Providence is the perfectly sized city for my first experience with city living. I love having so many choices for shopping, dinner, drinks, and events or the option to stay home in the peace of my own home.
